Betfair and BETDAQ

BetFair and BETDAQ are  one of the few Betting Exchanges online where you can place bets on many events, including Horse Racing, against other people (not the Bookmaker).

You choose your Odds as well as the Price and wait to see if anyone matches it.  An Example can be:

Bookmaker 1 is offering Horse 4 at 3-1, You bet £10 and if it wins you get £40 (£10 Stake plus £30 Winnings)

Betting Exchange - You bet on the same horse with Odds of 7.0 (6-1) and bet £10.  If it wins, you get £70 (£10 Stake and £60 Winnings) if your bet is matched (Layed) (someone else places a bet that the horse will lose at the same Odds and Price).

If the horse did lose, the Person that layed the bet wins your £10 stake.

Betfair and BETDAQ wil take a small commission of all winnings.  If you lose, no commission is taken.
